The mission of the Greek Life Office is to build and promote strong, healthy relationships within the Greek community. To develop strong leadership skills, foster and environment that promotes diversity, personal and educational growth. Establishing strong alumna connections that serve as a resource to guide the Greek organizations towards future success.
Fraternities and sororities have been an integral part of campus life at Frostburg State University since 1931, with the establishment of Iota Alpha Sigma. Today, as in 1931, the Greek system is dedicated to the personal growth and development of students through programs and services that promote the ideals of scholarship, leadership, and service. Personal relationships, the opportunity to provide service to the community, leadership development workshops & retreats, involvement in campus life, and planned social activities are all important aspects of Greek Life. The combination of these activities assists in the development of holistic, educated citizens and responsible community members.
"Working for UPC has almost certainly been a life changing experience. I've come so far in life thanks to the presence of my coworkers and advisors. Programming for students is something that I've grown to love and cherish dear to my heart. I'm absolutely excited to get back to work." ~ Eric Nixon
