Lane University Center Student Staff

Lane Univeristy Center Staff 2014-15

Student Building Manager

The Lane University Center Student Managers are responsible for evening and weekend supervision of the Lane University Center facilities and student staff.  Managers are trained in all operational functions of the facility including Information Desk, Game Room, and minor technical setups and assist guests of the facility with room reservations and general event management.

Game Room Attendant

The Lane University Center Game Room Attendants are responsible for the daily operation and oversight of the Lane University Center Game Room.  Attendants routinely check out an assortment of video games and gaming equipment to guests and are responsible for programming one tournament per semester.

Information Desk Attendant

Lane University Center Information Desk Attendants are responsible for the daily operation of the Lane University Center Information Desk, providing a variety of services to the campus and community at large.  Attendants will answer a variety of questions from guests via telephone and personal visits and must therefore maintain an up-to-date awareness and knowledge of campus, local information, and activities to answer information requests.

Reservations Office Assistant

The Lane University Center Reservations Office Assistants are responsible for assisting in event coordination on the Frostburg State University campus by taking reservation requests, setting up minor technical equipment and meeting rooms, assisting with ushering, ticketing, coat check needs, and coordinating calendars for the SCI staff.  Individuals must maintain an up-to-date awareness and knowledge of event coordination policies to assist requests delivered by phone, email, personal visits, and online reservation system.

Technical Services Managers

The Lane University Center Technical Services Managers are responsible for facilitating and organizing the execution of events, event setups, and other Lane Center operations by managing and coordinating the Lane University Center Technical Services team. This position requires the ability to create a plan of action for each shift, manage multiple crew members working on various concurrent tasks, and must demonstrate a command knowledge of all LUC technical equipment (lighting, sound, stage & projection), as well as have a working knowledge of alterative programing spaces on campus.

Technical Services Crew

The Lane University Center Technical Services Crew are responsible for setting up special and/or major events occurring on the Frostburg State University campus and therefore must develop and demonstrate a working knowledge of all LUC technical equipment (lighting, sound, stage, & projection).  Setups within the meeting rooms of the LUC also fall under the responsibility of the Technical Services Crew when a manager is unable to fulfill the obligation.
