Located on the second floor of the Lane University Center, the Information Center provides information regarding campus events and student organization activities. Campus and local area business directory information is available as well. You may reach the Information Center by calling 301.687.4411.
Laptop Lending Program The laptop lending program allows students to borrow laptops for their use in the Lane University Center. Laptops may be signed out from the Information Center with two forms of identifi cation.
Digital Signage is a system that displays information on TV screens throughout the Lane University Center including advertisements for events, weather, and other pertinent information. Student organizations and university entities are invited to advertise for events on the digital signage system. How much does an advertisement cost? One 10-second advertisement to be displayed on the LUC Digital Signage System for duration of up to (2) weeks is $6.95. Visit http://bit.ly/lucdigitalsignage for more details.
AstraZeneca Fitness Center A state of the art facility equipped with (6) treadmills, (4) cycles, (8) ellipticals, (1) stepper, and a modular multi station weight system. Getting in shape is an enjoyable experience in this facility thanks to picturesque views of the campus, fl at screen TV’s, and an individual TV on each cardio unit equipped with cable and IPOD docking station. Stop by the AstraZeneca Fitness Center Monday- Friday from 7:30am-10:30pm, Saturday from 10:00am-10:30pm, and Sunday 12:00pm-10:30pm.
Box Office Tickets for many on- campus activities and events will be sold out of the Box Offi ce, located in 203 Lane University Center. The Box Offi ce is open Monday-Friday, 9 am - 4 pm, 301.687. 3137 or 1.866.849.9237.
Faxes You may send and/or receive faxes at the following rates: sending – $2 for the fi rst page, $.50 for each additional page. The Lane University Center Information Center fax number is 301.687.7049. International fax rates are: sending- $5 for the fi rst page, $1 for each additional page; Receiving - $.50 per page.
Event Registration You may sign up for a variety of Student & Community Involvement sponsored trips and events at the Information Center.
Lost and Found Missing your ID card, wallet, or books? The Information Center serves as a campus lost and found location. Items turned in will be turned over to University Police.
Mailboxes Recognized student organizations may be able to request a mailbox in the Lane University Center through the Information Center. Mailboxes will be given on a fi rst come fi rst serve basis.
Meeting Rooms The Lane University Center is equipped with seven redesigned and expanded meeting rooms that can accommodate a variety of events ranging from small informal presentations for 12 to a formal forum for 260.
Popcorn The Lane University Center Information Desk sells fresh, hot popcorn for Small - 50¢, Jumbo-$1.00, Heap-$3.00.
Student Organization Cabinets On campus recognized student organizations can request a storage cabinet through the Lane University Center Information Center. Cabinets will be given on a fi rst come fi rst serve basis with the exception of Black Student Alliance (BSA), Student Government Association (SGA), University Programming Council (UPC) and The BottomLine, who are not eligible for storage space. Storage cabinets must be renewed on a yearly basis by fi lling out a Student Organization Storage Cabinet Request Form at the Information Center.
