Relay for Life 2015

Service-Related Student Organizations

Alpha Phi Omega
Alpha Phi Omega is a national coeducational service organization founded on the principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service. It provides its members the opportunity to develop leadership skills as they volunteer on their campus, in their community, to the nation, and to the organization. With more than 400,000 members on over 375 campuses, Alpha Phi Omega continues to provide more service on more campuses than any other collegiate service organization.

Anti-Bullying Club
The Anti-Bullying Club believes that everyone deserves a safe, healthy setting for personal and professional growth. Whether it’s a child in a classroom or a worker in his or her office, everyone should expect a secure environment, free from emotional torment. We believe that each individual can contribute to creating these safe social climates—in the home, in the school, throughout the communities and within the workplace.

Best Buddies Program
Best Buddies pairs people with intellectual disabilities in one-on-one friendships with college students. Their slogan is “Without friends and family, we are alone.” By becoming a college buddy, you will befriend someone with a developmental disability and learn about yourself in the process.

Colleges Against Cancer & Relay for Life
Colleges Against Cancer (CAC) is a nationwide collaboration of college students, faculty and staff dedicated to eliminating cancer by working to implement the programs and mission of the American Cancer Society. With hundreds of chapters nationwide, CAC shows the world that young people care and want to make a difference.

FSU Lions Campus Club
The Frostburg State University Lions Campus Club is a branch of Lions Club international. Student Lions volunteer to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through their organization.
