On Saturday, August 15, at Pi Lambda Phi's Fraternity's Presidential Awards Banquet during their 120th Leadership Convention, Pi Lambda Phi was honored to present the Outstanding Campus Professional Award to Jamie Winters of Frostburg State University.
The Outstanding Campus Professional Award recognizaes the most outstanding campus-based professional from an institution where a Pilam chapter is located. Regardless of their specific title on campus, this individual who is responsible for Fraternity and Sorority Life on his/her campus is someone who goes above and beyond to help not only the Pilam chapter and its members, but also the entire Fraternity and Sorority community.
"When Pi Lambda Phi colonizes at a University, it is our goal to establish strong partnerships with all key stakeholders," said Patrick Spanner, Director of Chapter Operations for Pi Lambda Phi. "Jamie is a true example of what Pilam looks for in a campus-based partner. It has been a true pleasure to work with her over the years. Without her support and hard work, Pi Lambda Phi would not have as much success at Frostburg."
During Spring semester of 2014, Pi Lambda Phi re-colonized at Frostburg State University. The return to campus was scheduled after a mutual decision made by Pilam and the University to close their former Chapter in Spring 2011.
"Jamie has a great influence on both the school and community of Frostburg. She cares about all of the Greeks and pushes us all to our full potential. As the President, I have personal weekly meetings with her to discuss progress and upcoming events. I really appreciated everything she has done for Frostburg Greek Life, and I know many Greeks feel the same way," shared Kevin Keh, a Re-Founding Father and current Colony President.
Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity would like to again congratulate Jamie Winters on receiving the Outstanding Campus Professional Award and thank her for her tireless work at Frostburg State University.
