UPC Murder Mystery Dinner

UPC Murder Mystery Dinner entertains

By Kate Sine
12/7/2015

If you are a fan of the classic game, Clue, then UPC’s Murder Mystery dinner is the event for you.  The University Programming Council (UPC) is hosting a three-course meal   in the Lane University Center Manicur Assembly Hall on December 8th at 7 PM. FSU students may purchase a $6 ticket to help catch the killer while enjoying a plated dinner. Tickets are available in the Lane University Center Box Office Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm.

The scenario for Tuesday night is that a man who owns a restaurant has been murdered and the victim’s family has been brought in for questioning. The audience members stand in as amateur Sherlocks while some UPC members act out the scenario.

Sophomore Laura Akindo, Arts and Speakers Coordinator for UPC coordinated this event and orchestrated the lights, tech crew, actors and the dinner to make this night of sleuthing memorable. Akindo’s favorite part about past Murder Mystery dinners  she has attended is the event itself - especially when the audience goes through the motions of clues and yells their accusations of who killed the victim. Now, it is her turn to lead the audience in the hunt for the criminal at-large. Akindo first joined UPC as a first semester freshman by attending general body meetings. The next semester she was hired as the Arts and Speakers Coordinator and has enjoyed planning events for other students - especially for this dinner.

FSU is committed to making all of its programs, services and activities accessible to persons with disabilities. To request accommodations through the ADA Compliance Office, call 301-687-4102 or use a Voice Relay Operator at 1-800-735-2258.
