Interfraternity Council (IFC) – the governing body composed of campus chapters of national/international fraternities who are also members of North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC.) The ideals of the IFC are to foster and promote the interests of the member organizations and the University, to discuss concerns of mutual interest, and to develop cooperation among the member organizations.

Conference (NPC)
Sororities at FSU

National Panhellenic Council (Panhellenic) – the governing body composed of campus chapters of women’s fraternities whose national/international bodies are members of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC). Each of the members is autonomous as a social, Greek-letter society of college women. The ideals of NPC are to foster interfraternity relationships, to assist member chapters, and to cooperate with the University in maintaining the highest scholastic and social standards.

National Panhellenic Conference (NPHC) Fraternities and Sororities at FSU

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) – the governing body for all historically African-American national fraternities/sororities, whose national/international bodies are members of the NPHC. The purposes of the Pan-Hellenic Council are to promote the interests of the member groups, to promote the uniqueness of each member organization, and to foster cooperation among the member groups.

Independently Recognized Organizations

Independently recognized groups do not hold national recognition, but have earned recognition as a FSU Greek organization. Each of these organizations follows the University's minimum expectations and standards and stands for scholarship, leadership and service.
