“Why I think ECHOSTARS is such a great program is because you just get to meet amazing people. If you’re like me, coming into college without knowing anybody or having any friends, this is a great way to meet new people, get to know Frostburg, and see the beauty of the ‘burg.”

“What I enjoy most about the ECHOSTARS is that you get to have so many fun experiences at site, special projects, and dorm life at Gray Hall. I have had the opportunity to meet some of my best friends through this program and being able to live with them and volunteer alongside them makes the experience so much more fun.”

“It’s an experience that you shouldn’t miss. Your first year is always your remarkable year. It’s your first year being independent, your first of year of being by yourself without your parents, without people that you grew up with…But, luckily, for ECHOSTARS you have a whole bunch of people. You have people looking out for you, you have people concerned for you…You’re going to be with people in the dorms that’s in the ECHOSTARS program so, trust me, you’re going to be close.”
